GEVAUDAN / On the tracks of the beast

On June 19, 1767, the hunter Jean Chastel killed an animal on the side of the Mount Mouchet, not far from village. This put an end to the terror that reigned in Gévaudan during three years of attacks and massacres. Yet, the mystery remains about the origin of this scourge.
